OUR MISSION
We had a dream of purchasing a small farm years ago. This long term plan God made possible in 2022. We purchased the meadows from a sweet couple that didn't really want to sell. However, due to health reasons as well as wanting to be closer to their grandchildren, they decided it was time. Her late father has also built their adorable greenhouse we named the Henry Melton Greenhouse. Our indoor growing building was originally designed and built to house Southern Soy Candle Company.
IT STARTED WITH A ROSE
At our final walk through, we shared smiles and shed tears with the Lytle's. We learned some of the history of the meadows as well as the stories of the many plants and trees. They had gotten married at the end of dock that branches out into the pond. It was obvious a love of land and family seeped from each acre.

During the first summer months here, we captured and shared each bloom as it made its spectacular appearance with the former owner, Mrs. Lytle through text messages. As we had guests come to visit, our children make bouquets with the flowers that were blooming. Our vision of a small veggie farm was begging to transition.

IN THE BEGINNING
During the first summer months here, we captured and shared each bloom as it made its spectacular appearance with the former owner, Mrs. Lytle through text messages. As we had guests come to visit, our children make bouquets with the flowers that were blooming. Our vision of a small veggie farm was begging to transition.

I never have dreams at night...I love to daydream, but I rarely dream or perhaps I rarely remember what I dreamt. However, I started having dreams of a field of Dahlias that was relentless! Mind you, I used to have a brown thumb and couldn't keep a simple houseplant alive. I recall just a few years ago my friend Aubrey visiting our house in Statesboro and mentioning that she was surprised that all we had was silk plants. That has really stuck with me because I was raised around 6 foot tall gardens on the South Dakota plains that engulfed my 4 foot Grandma Sue. Even my Grandma Chris always had beautiful plants and flowers surrounding her..
PROVERBS PASSION
I have a passion for living as a Proverbs woman. Although I may fail everyday in this aspect, I thought my field to market would be vegetables. Only God knows the plans He has for us. To add to the absolute faith we have had for what we feel is God's vision, I have a form of Cervical Spina Bifida that was a late diagnosis, which affects all aspects of my daily life. Some days I have seizures or have to rest often or even weeks I am mostly bedridden. This is why we have 3 foot high raised beds.

Many close to us thought we were crazy for following this dream, but I believe in trying to make things more accessible, and I know God still has a plan for us. We are thankful for all of the help along the way. Our children are also learning about community, how to run a business, as well as helping with many aspects of our Farmette (for a fair wadge) as part of their homeschooling lessons.

We look forward to continuing to share the past and present with the Lytle's permission. We will be sharing more about the meadows as we learn more about the history and her stories.

“Long before Zaccheus needed to see Jesus, the sycamore tree was planted to meet his need.”
