About the artwork
Soaring Sunflower is an up-close painting of a tall sunflower rising above the field and reaching into the bright blue sky. I aimed to capture the deep, dark shadows nestled at the heart of the flower, and the golden yellow petals shimmering in the sunlight. This piece is an ode to late summer blooms and the shining yellow fields that ripple across the land as they rise from the earth. It honors the sunflower in all its glory, standing tall above the rest, quietly watching and following the sun. I hoped to share the joy this flower brings, to brighten someone’s day with its golden glow and gentle strength.
